Grace Baptist Church Web Design Ministry
The Independent Grace Baptist Church that exists to glorify God in this world and fulfill the great commission of Jesus Christ until He returns is pleased to announce a new ministry that is an incredible work God to help missionaries and pastors all over the world every single day. Through this ministry of free web design to Christian organizations that adhere to Biblical Fundamental Christian beliefs, we can help share Christ with the lost and hurting with the greatest gift of all... the gift of hope through effective evangelism.
One of our members, Ken Hennessey is donating his computer skills full-time to designing web pages for independent, fundamental Christians around the world. Prior to this Ken had a web business, but after God called him to offer missionaries design at no cost, he donated time to helping those that serve the Lord.
We don’t offer a portfolio but to learn more about us you can visit our web site at www.gbckato.org. You are encouraged to visit some samples of Ken’s work at a pro-life organization (www.becmccl.org), a missionary friend (www.oneinhimministries.org), and a recent missionary site at www.webmissions.net/visionghana.
This is a digital ministry that God led Ken Hennessey of GBC to develop as a benefit to missionaries and pastors who cannot afford or do not have the expertise to begin and maintain their own internet presence. The core of Ken’s work is done through this church to design web pages for independent, fundamental missionaries for free. All a ministry is liable for is the cost of a domain name (usually only $10.00) and space on a server ($20.00 per year.) If you're interested contact us by mail or phone listed below. You can also contact Grace Baptist Church by E-mail at vmpgbc@hickorytech.net or ken@gbckato.org to start a web presence. You must agree with our statement of faith and our requirements and terms. Qualifications are indicated below.
We believe in one God, Creator and Lord of the Universe, the co-eternal Trinity; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary atoning death on the cross, rose bodily from the dead and ascended to heaven where, as truly God and truly man, He is the only mediator between God and man.
We believe that the Bible is God's authoritative and inspired Word. It is without error in all its teachings, including creation, history, its own origins, and salvation. Christians must submit to its divine authority, both individually and corporately, in all matters of belief and conduct, which is demonstrated by true righteous living.
We believe that all people are lost sinners and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through the new birth. Justification is by grace through faith in Christ alone.
We believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic Church. Its calling is to worship and witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel among all nations and demonstrating its commitment by compassionate service to the needs of human beings and promoting righteousness and justice.
We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit for the individual's new birth and growth to maturity, and for the Church's constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, power, and mission.
We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in glory to raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to completion. God will fully manifest His kingdom when He establishes a new heaven and new earth, in which He will be glorified forever and exclude all evil, suffering, and death
Grace Baptist Church will setup an FTP account for uploading webpages and related content, if you are not familiar with FTP (File Transfer Protocol), please visit http://www.ftpplanet.com/.
If you agree with the above statements, please proceed to the Web Site Application Request form. The next form will submit your request for a free web site.
Grace Baptist Church does not extend the free web site design offer do just anyone wanting to put up web pages. We have organized a list of general qualifications that can help determine if you or your organization meet our requirements for the free web site design service. Even if you seem to meet all the listed requirements, you may still be rejected (we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or any organization for any reason or suspend service if we find ample reason to believe we are dealing with a commercially-based organization or individual(s) that promotes something contrary to the published "Statement of Faith."). Furthermore, any organization requesting free web site design will need to agree to our Terms of Service.
General Qualifications:
Definition of a "qualifying non-profit Christian church or ministry"
The term "Christian" requires further defining -- although it shouldn't require this. Not all organizations that claim to be "Christian" are -- in fact -- Christian. We usually classify these organizations as "cults" -- which simply means that these groups stray too far from what are traditionally considered the "orthodox" or "fundamental" beliefs of Christianity. This distinction does not imply that everyone who are members of these sects are going to Hell, but rather, recognizes that such organizations do not preach the "true" Gospel according to the Bible. These organizations will not be classified as "Christian" for our purposes.
Non-Christian Religions
The first and most obvious group of sects would be non-Christian religions -- Islam/Muslim, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, etc. These groups do not just stretch the Gospel a little, but preach an entirely different "gospel" and promote and worship other gods. These religions do not accept God (Jehovah) in the same way or concept as the Judeo-Christian monotheistic personal God concept or at least reject Jesus Christ as the Messiah, Son of God, and Savior of the World.
Quasy- or Psuedo-Christian Sects
The second and more controversial group are "Christian cults" or Quasy-Christian groups -- sects that claim some aspects of Christianity, but still do not preach the full, true Gospel by Jesus Christ. Often, these groups fail to be considered "Christian" by the majority of Christianity because they take away or add to fundamental elements. Some groups add "other" books into the Bible or use in addition to the Bible (with equal or greater standing) [The Bible strictly forbids this]. Other sects try to combine other religions with Christianity -- like combining Buddhism with Christianity.
Here's a good test: the Salvation Question
By the answer to "How can a person be saved?" you can sift out most cults. If the answer is something like "well, no one can really be 'saved'.", or "well, each person chooses their personal path to god", or "just do more good things than bad" -- then we probably would not call it a Christian organization. Or, if the answer is not something like "For a person to be saved, one must believe that our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins and faith in Jesus Christ is required for eternal Salvation".-- then that organization probably does not qualify.
Reason for our Qualification Standards
We are a Christian operated organization. Grace Baptist Church wishes to provide free web design to organizations that promote the body of Christ and help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in order that all may come to know Him.
