Grace Baptist Church was incorporated in 1957 with seven charter members. Two lots and the building that were on them were purchased for $13,000 and the first services were held the second Sunday of November. Pastor John Michel was called to give pastoral leadership and the various programs and outreaches have developed during the past five decades.

The ministry now includes Sunday School, worship, preaching and teaching services, weekly television ministry on KEYC-TV and CCTV, Awana youth clubs, parenting groups, support groups, Christian Day School, Campus Bible Fellowship organization at Minnesota State University and Campus House at 1232 Highland Avenue and missionary outreach on five continents.

Grace Baptist Church steadily grown into a strong independent, fundamental Baptist church with the faithful leadership of Pastor John Michel, Pastor Dan Dark, and Pastor Larry Johnson.
