WELCOME  TIME

It is a delight to meet one another at a designated time and place. Today we have an appointment with God and His people. Let us humbly wait for his wisdom and willingly submit to his directions for each of us. Will you really communicate with the Lord and with others today? Will this be a day of rest and Christian service or just an hour in church?
SCRIPTURE
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” --Psalm 133:1
THE CANDLE.
The candle in front of the pulpit in our church serves as a silent reminder to each of us to be about our Father’s business of proclaiming Christ to our world. The candle will be lit each time a soul is won for Christ.

GOD’S ETERNAL MASTERPIECE
We would like to welcome Jesse and Becky Huang this morning. They have come to display a wide variety of your favorite Christian children’s books, toys and DVDs. They make great Christmas and birthday gifts. You may visit their website at www.godseternalmasterpiece.com.

SCRIP PROGRAM
Before you know it Thanksgiving and Christmas will be upon us! Gifts cards can be purchased through the Scrip program. Plan ahead and place your order early. There will be no order placed on Monday, November 24 as the Great Lakes Scrip Center will be closed for Thanksgiving. You may place an order with Val Perrizo or Amanda Hanson today or anytime during the week. Orders are placed each Monday before noon and received by 8:45 AM on Thursday. Spread the word!

BULLETIN BOARD
We receive updates from many of our missionaries each week. You will find their updates posted on the foyer bulletin board. We become partners with our missionaries as we support them in prayer.

DEACONESSES
The deaconesses will meet after the evening service, in the conference room today.

DEACONS
The pastors and deacons will meet Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room.

CHOIR
Adult choir practice will be at 5:00 PM today in the fellowship hall.

AWANA
All AWANA clubs will meet this Wednesday at 6:30 PM for registration in the west hall. Opening exercises will follow in the gym; then there is game time, council time and Bible memorization time. Everyone will be dismissed at 8:00 PM. Don’t miss out on the fun and bring a friend!

SHARE STORE
The Awana Store will be open Wednesday, December 10 for our clubbers to make purchases with the points they earn each week for coming, bringing a visitor, and memorizing scripture. We are interested in donations that are new or like new. Please, no stuffed animals or dolls. If you have a question about something, please feel free to talk to Ellen Herme. Money gifts are also acceptable. Thank you!

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for 2 adults who would be willing to teach 2/3 year old children during the morning church service. You would be on a 6-week cycle with 4 other adults teaching for 2 weeks and then have 4 weeks off so you would be able to attend church.

CHURCH DIRECTORY
The 2008-2009 church directories are available today.

PICTURE DIRECTORY
In the spring we would like to do another picture directory. This will be an opportunity to have family photos done.

INFORMATION CENTER
Prayer sheets from last Wednesday are located on the table near the office and other informative matter. November calendars are also available.

DECEMBER EVENTS
The Sunday school Christmas program is scheduled to be presented Sunday, December 21 during the 6:00 PM service. This is always a very special time for the story of Christ’s birth to be presented for family and friends. However, we are in need of a team to work with our Sunday school classes to prepare the program. If you would be willing to do this, please talk to Pastor Johnson today or as soon as possible.

SPECIAL OFFERING
With Thanksgiving just ten days away it’s time to think about our annual “Weight on the Lord” offering. We have two home mission projects we will be working on. The first is to prepare the sign for our 8th Avenue property and the second is a new copier for the office. Bring your special offering the next two weeks.

SOUP SUPPER
We will have a soup supper Wednesday, November 26 at 5:45 PM for anyone who would like to attend; bring your favorite recipe. We’ll have pie following the Thanksgiving service which begins at 6:30 PM.

MIDWEEK SERVICE
You are invited to join us for a potluck supper at 5:45 PM this Wednesday for a time of fellowship while we eat. Then at 6:30 PM, Bible study begins in the auditorium with Pastor Johnson. The youth meet with Pastor Nate in the basement for Bible study, games, and fun.

MOVING
Former member, Karen Tackle, is moving from N. Mankato to Chippewa Falls, WI and needs help moving because of a disability. She will be packing an UHaul truck Saturday, November 29. She is moving from a one bedroom apartment so will have limited furnishing and no appliances. If you would like to minister to a sister in Christ you may give Karen a call at 625-2717.

SHARE-A-THON
KJLY in Blue Earth, MN will be celebrating 25 years of radio ministry on November 18-20. This year’s Share-a-Thon is called “Sharing the Voice of the Savior”. Join in the celebration by listening on 107.1 FM.
